Advanced 3D Solid Generation using Discover 3D

This one day course is intended for the advanced Discover 3D user. It will cover the Features menu and the 3D Solid Generator. The Features menu provides a powerful utility for the creation, storage and display of 3D feature objects. The 3D Solid Generator is useful for creating interpreted 3D objects such as ore body, fault or other geological solids (eg aquifers), as well as infrastructure such as dams or open cut extents. The course will be taught by Owen Parfrey of Encom Australia. Registration is limited to advanced Discover users.

Each attendee is required to provide their own laptop with MapInfo Professional and Discover 9 + the 3D Module.

Course prerequisites – experienced with MapInfo, Discover 3D and must be familiar with creating geologic models.

This course meets the AIPG PDP Sec D continuing education requirememts.
